Here is part two of my new (possibly weekly) post called "Sweetly Inspiring." If you recall, last time I posted a video of Stephanie Nielson. (Every time I watch that, I tear up.)
It's a hard act to follow but this week I wanted to share a story I found on MSNBC. I was a little surprised, to say the least, when I found a story that was not about stars cheating on each other or what the new best diet is. This story stood out because of the women who sacrifice a little of their time to honor those that have passed on and to give even just a little bit of comfort to those who are left behind.
Don't you just hate reading the news? I am terrible when it comes to knowing what is going on in the world and it is not because I don't want to be informed. In fact, I believe that we should all be informed and involved. But sometimes, when I read the news, I only feel sadness and this sneaking feeling that the world is only full of selfish, terrible people.
But it seems that lately the universe has been sending some love my way. I have been reading story after story, not of people destroying each other but of people who make good choices and who bring tears to your eyes because they see the beauty that is in the world around us.
And I like that.
So today I thought I would start sharing those stories with you.
I would like to start with the story of Stephanie Nielson. For those of you who read Susan's blog, you will have already seen this. Stephanie has an amazing story that breaks your heart while reminding you that God loves you more than we can understand and that He knows exactly who you are. I started reading her lovely blog only a few months ago and now check it almost every day. I couldn't help but fall in love with her and her family and this experience they are a part of that has changed their lives.
