Jessica Hische designed that book cover! She makes me want to read all those old books in new covers.

Hear, hear! Love that Ms. Eyre. She is a dear. Definitely an all time favorite.

Thanks for a great review! It's been a long time since I read Jane Eyre--maybe it's time to reread it. As for being a slow reader, I am too, by choice, at least when I read for pleasure. Slow readers read not just to find out what the author says. They read to find out how he says it. They savor the sounds of words and the way they are put together. They climb into the scenes the author paints, imagining themselves in the story. When it's nonfiction, they ask questions as they read--why, how, what if? That's the joy of reading! Thanks for sending occasional emails to remind me how much I love reading your blog. I miss you!
